Waveside Church is a diverse community of people who believe in loving God and everyone He created. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here. Waveside exists to help you encounter God’s unconditional love and find your place in a community that genuinely cares.

Our Sunday worship is a faith-filled celebration of God’s goodness that includes live music, practical insights from the Bible, and the opportunity to receive prayer. Following our first song children preschool through 5th grade head to Waveside Kids where they discover God’s love through engaging lessons and activities. On the second Sunday of each month, our middle and high school students join Waveside Youth to build friendships and grow in their faith.

We get started at 10:10AM in the Malibu Elementary School. Come as you are!

In 2008, Dave and his late wife Laura pioneered Waveside Church in the rural California coastal city of Malibu. Their journey together through 41 years of marriage, raising a family, decades of music involvement, leading recovery groups and local church ministry gave rise to something authentic: a community with a passion for helping people discover and live out their God-given purpose through a real, transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. Dave continues to faithfully lead the congregation of Waveside Church and lives in Malibu along with his two adult sons Aaron and Nathan.

Their journey together through 41 years of marriage, raising a family, decades of music involvement, leading recovery groups and local church ministry gave rise to something authentic: a community with a passion for helping people discover and live out their God-given purpose through a real, transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

Dave continues to faithfully lead the congregation of Waveside Church and lives in Malibu along with his two adult sons Aaron and Nathan.

In 2008, Dave and his late wife Laura pioneered Waveside Church in the coastal in the coastal enclave of Malibu, Californina. Decades of marriage, music, family, recovery and local church ministry resulted in the formation of an authentic community with a passion to equip people to fulfill their God-given mission on earth through an intimate, transformational, and sustainable relationship with their Creator.
